American Eagle Productions is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for its students and staff. We follow all city and CDC guidelines and have completed the Be Safe Chicago certification.
In order to adhere to all CDC and safety regulations, we will be requiring the following:
Before coming to class, please assess your child's health. If your child has any symptoms or feels ill, please do not send them to class. If someone in your family is ill or if your child may have had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous 2 weeks, please do not send your child to class.
Parents will be contacted and asked to pick up their child if their child shows any signs of illness, i.e. fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, or persistent cough or runny nose. The student will be separated from the group until a parent or guardian can pick up the child from class. Students can return to camp if the child has been symptom and fever free for 24 hours without medication.
All AEP team members will complete a health self-assessment before coming to class and will not be permitted to come to work if they are ill or if they have been in close contact with someone in the previous 2 weeks who has tested positive for COVID-19.
All students and AEP team members must wear a face covering at all times. We have marked the floors to help social distance students in the classroom. At times, students may have to be within 6 ft of each other. We will do our best to social distance throughout class, but some activities may not allow for it.
Parents will be asked to drop-off and pick-up their student at the outside doors. Parents will not be permitted to stay during camp or wait in the building.
Students will have their own plastic bin in which to keep their personal belongings as well as individual AEP craft supplies. All items should be labeled and kept separate from others' belongings.
Extra seating has been removed from tables to ensure students maintain a distance of at least 6 ft while eating or doing crafts.
Hand sanitizer will be provided in each classroom. Students may also bring and use their own hand sanitizer.
Frequent, scheduled hand-washing breaks will be taken throughout the day.
Students cannot share craft supplies, props, or toys.
Students cannot hold hands, do partner work, or give high fives.
High-touch surfaces and items will be wiped down frequently throughout the day as well as sanitized at the end of each day.
No more than 2 guests per student will be permitted to attend the informal final performance at the end of the week/session. Parents/guests will still be expected to social distance during the performance.
