American Eagle Productions is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for its students and staff. We follow all city and CDC guidelines and have completed the Be Safe Chicago certification.
In order to adhere to all CDC and safety regulations, we will be requiring the following:
Before coming to class, please assess your child's health. If your child has any symptoms or feels ill, please do not send them to class. If someone in your family is ill or if your child may have had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous 2 weeks, please do not send your child to class.
All AEP team members will complete a health self-assessment before coming to class and will not be permitted to come to work if they are ill or if they have been in close contact with someone in the previous 2 weeks who has tested positive for COVID-19.
All students and AEP team members must wear a face covering at all times. We have marked the floors to help social distance students in the classroom. At times, students may have to be within 6 ft of each other. We will do our best to social distance throughout class, but some activities may not allow for it.
Parents will not be permitted to enter the building or the classroom.
Each student as well as AEP team member must have their temperature taken before entering the building. Anyone with a temperature over 100 degrees will not be permitted in the building.
Students will have their own plastic bin in which to keep their personal belongings as well as individual AEP craft supplies. All items should be labeled and kept separate from others' belongings.
Extra seating has been removed from tables to ensure students maintain a distance of at least 6 ft while eating or doing crafts.
Hand sanitizer will be provided in each classroom. Students may also bring and use their own hand sanitizer.
Frequent, scheduled hand-washing breaks will be taken throughout the day.
Students cannot share craft supplies, props, or toys.
Students cannot hold hands, do partner work, or give high fives.
High-touch surfaces and items will be wiped down frequently.
The facility will be cleaned and sanitized each day.
No more than 10 people total will be allowed in any classroom. Parents will not be permitted to watch the performance in person. The final presentation on the last day of class will be recorded, and barring any technical difficulties, will be emailed to the parents.
